This camp, organized as part of the Deetechtive EU project, aimed to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in academic institutions. Students from different countries, disciplines, and experience levels came together to propose innovative technological solutions in the field of green energy, integrating AI. This diversity truly fueled innovation 💡
During the camp, participants worked in international and interdisciplinary teams, under the supervision of experts from various fields. They attended workshops on green energy and the use of AI, led by Adam Sulich, PhD, Design Thinking methodology and pitching skills by Wojciech Wodo, as well as technology-enhanced learning led by Dan Kohen-Vacs (PhD) and Michael Winokur. These sessions allowed students to gain valuable knowledge and prepare for the final pitch competition.
The highlight of the camp was “Demo Day,” where six international teams presented their business ideas in the field of renewable energies. The Ecologym team, composed of Jakub Staudt, Robert Crentsil, Weronika Zator, Ilan Bruski, and Einav Yehilaviz, won first place with their concept of an ecological gym where users generate electricity while using the machines. This initiative reduces energy consumption costs while offering discounts on products to users, supporting both health and the environment 🏆🌿
A big thank you to all the partners of the Deetechtive EU project, Holon Institute of Technology 🇮🇱, Università degli Studi di Genova 🇮🇹, EPF School of Engineering 🇫🇷, Centria University of Applied Sciences 🇫🇮, and especially to the hosts at Wrocław University of Science and Technology 🇵🇱 for their innovative initiatives that bridge academia and the real world.
