Tuesday, 25th June 2024, Prof. Giovanni Berselli delivered a Keynote speech entitled Designin Mechanical Intelligence – an overview of compliant hands and grippers.
[Entrepreneurship] First pitch session for INCUBACT’HER 🚀
The 1st pitch session for INCUBACT’HER, the new business incubator at the EPF Engineering School that promotes student and female entrepreneurship, was successfully held.
The 7 teams each had 5 minutes to convince the jury to be incubated and supported by the EPF on the Paris-Cachan campus. The projects presented were inspiring and diverse, testifying to the creativity and commitment of the students.
The second phase of this process begins now: how the school can meet their specific needs to help them turn their ideas into reality! 🎯
Congratulations to all the participants! 👏
Spotlight on the projects presented:• We dough, led by Emma Pinon: an ultra-gourmet concept and a unique taste experience around raw cookie dough! 🍪
• Commutatio, led by Julie Paparin and Clémence Debadier: the platform that promotes inclusive and accessible events for people with disabilities. ♿️
• Pulse led by Vianney and Nathalie: an application to bring students and the administration closer together, with events shared by associations and staff.• Get Out led by Benjamin Strobel: solution to locate sports facilities and sporting events around us. 🏃 ♂️
• Wooden Touch, worn by Ali Fassy Fehry: the best of the anime universe (One Piece, Dragon Ball…) in wood engraving. 🌳
• Styx Bicycles, led by Axel Ladaique: an innovation to replace a bicycle battery with a super capacitor pack. The bike recharges while riding, thus reducing the environmental impact! 🚲
• Khaïjin Paris, worn by Vincent Vergely: a unisex streetwear brand with eco-responsible fabrics and patterns embroidered or screen-printed by its founder. 👕🌱
Thank you to Frédérick Baby-Marinpouy • Vincent Couteaus • Eric SAVATTERO • Frédéric Ragueneau for their commitment and their precious advice. 🙏
GIOVANNI BERSELLI, professor at the Università degli Studi di Genova and expert in applied robotics, concluded this event with a mini-conference entitled “Designing Mechanical Intelligence – An Overview of Compliant Hand & Grippers”. Thank you for this inspiring intervention! 🤖
