Short description of the event
Wrocław Tech Date was an open-access trainings focused on Deep Tech intended to connect and create strong links with representatives of different groups of the knowledge triangle, so that they can share their experiences, problems, ideas and start new collaborations. The main aim of the Deep Tech Date was:
- exchanging knowledge and broadening the perspective around deep technologies, which are talked about a lot, but there is no systematic knowledge;
- integration of the scientific and startup communities, technology companies, students, organizations investing in technology development, innovators who want to develop or are already involved in the development of advanced technologies.
The main topics were focused on Med Tech – the discussion was focused around the following topics:
- What are the technological challenges in tomorrow’s medicine?
- What are the future scenarios for medtech?
- How to enter the market with breakthrough medical technology?

List of participants
The participants represented various groups of Deep Tech ecosystem: scientists, technology startups, technology companies, VCs, organizations implementing programs targeted at deeptech. The event gathered 110 participants in total.
Lesson Learned
- Collaboration with students organization within hackathon gave the great possibility to identify the real Deep Tech Talents.
- Open Seminars led to new and strong partnerships
- Cooperation with student organizations can bring measurable results in the form of real adaptation to the needs of students in the field of development of innovations and businesses.
- Engineering students want to bring up to life many ideas related to the development of new products/services that can have real business applications.
